HELP DESK and COMPUTER REPAIR/SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Job Description:
We are seeking an individual with high energy, willing to learn and aptitude to learn quickly, with an enthusiasm for computers and technology to join our staff. This person must be a self starter who is hungry for knowledge, outstanding ability to create and maintain interpersonal relationships. Candidates must also possess excellent customer service skills and want a career and an opportunity to grow and develop. Strong organizational and time management skills required. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Flexibility to work on weekends and after-hours when needed.
Responsibilities will include:
On a day to day basis, candidate will provide telephone and e-mail support to users on standard Windows desktop applications, Windows Server, security, email and web applications for clients. This position will serve as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting HW/SW, PC and Printer problems. Position responsibilities also include building of custom PC's and servers. Diagnose and repair of desktop and laptop computers, and also perform upgrades.
Position hours are M-F 8:30-5:30 but does require some night and weekend project work.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Desktop Administrator/Help Desk Specialist
At least 3 years of experience with Windows XP, Office 2003
Excellent customer support skills
Proven computer hardware and software troubleshooting ability
Ability to escalate more difficult technical issues to appropriate levels of support
Understand basic Windows networking
Education and Certifications:

Completion of a technical training program in PC repair.

We are looking for a self-motivated, well organized, and experienced programmer / developer to join our ever-growing team of IT professionals. Qualified candidates must be able to handle multiple projects and a variety of tasks.
This position includes multiple tasks within our Web and Internet Division. While this position is generally geared towards programmers, other tasks will include phone support, server administration, DNS configuration, domain transfers and more.
Excalibur is primarily a Windows based IT firm. Most of our clients’ platforms are Windows based and all of our web servers are Windows servers. With this in mind, a qualified candidate must meet the position requirements below.
Position requires the following skill set:
- Must have experience with HTML, CSS, and ASP.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database design.

our customers within a 50 mile radius
of Barrington, IL. Candidates must
have at least one year solid field
experience with network support
services, routers and desktop support.
MCSE, A+ and Network+ or equivalent

will be required to complete them
within 120 days of hire. Applicants
